A Snowy Visit to Pinetop

On Friday after Thanksgiving we packed our leftovers and headed to Pinetop.  They had had a snow storm early on Thursday morning, so there was snow on the ground.  We discovered Luna loves the snow.  She ran around sniffing all the white stuff and poking her nose in it.

Then we all came in and warmed up from the cold - including Luna.

Saturday was a beautiful day.  We went in to town for some supplies for our projects, and to check out the deals on snow clothes at Walmart since we hadn't done any Black Friday shopping.  We came home with lots of bibs and gloves.  Just what the boys needed for playing in the snow.

Bryce and Adam immediately donned their winter gloves and had a snow fight.  Since the snow was new powder, there were no injuries (or perceived injuries).

On Sunday the snow was back.  By the time we got back from church it was coming down steadily.  Adam said it was the first time he had seen snow falling from the sky.  That's what happens when you live in the desert - you don't get to experience a snow storm until you are 10 years old.  He was too little to remember his other experiences with snow.

This is how the weather was looking as we left the cabin.  We are learning how to take care of a house in snow country - at least we hope we are prepared.

We can hardly wait to go back.

Oh it looks like so much fun! I think having Christmas there would be so fun. You could have a white Christmas!

Brian seldom gets on this blog but today he did and he said, "Man the Dahl's cabin is just beautiful!" We are envious of you! Someday, we hope to be neighbors to you up there too:)
