Dan had a best friend when he was growing up - Marc Taylor. He often talks about the exciting things he did with Marc as a kid and as a young adult. When we moved to Gilbert, we thought we would get together with the Taylors now that we were closer. But it seems that Gilbert is just as far away from west Phoenix as Tucson was!
Back in the early fall Marc called and suggested we all get together at Christmas time to see A Christmas Carol at the Herberger Theatre. This is a holiday tradition for their family. We thought it was an excellent idea and put it on our calendar.
On Tuesday before Christmas we headed to the Herberger for a delightful production of the Christmas classic. Then we walked over to the Compass Room (a revolving restaurant at the top of the Hyatt) for dessert and some serious catch up visiting. The kids were entertained with the ever changing view out the window and didn't get too bored with the adults visiting.
What a fun evening with good friends. This may turn out to be a new tradition for the Dahl family too.
