Autumn in Pinetop

On Wednesday of Fall Break we headed home from Disneyland, stopped at the outlet mall along the way, and got in late Wednesday night.  On Thursday while Dan attended the Banner Ironwood Hospital dedication, Michelle and the boys unpacked and repacked for Pinetop.  As soon as Dan got home, we piled in the truck and headed for Pinetop.  On Friday we set sail for Sunrise Lake to take the whole family out for a little motoring.

The storm clouds moved in, and there was a chill in the air.  As you can see by the colors, autumn has arrived in the White Mountains.

Adam had a rough start to our trip, but once he was given the driver's seat on the boat, he perked up and was a little happier.

Using the GPS, Bryce wanted to see how fast he could row.  The lake was so full of  seaweed (or do you call it lakeweed in this case) that his speed was greatly hindered (or so he says).

Adam finally got happy!  Michelle donned a life vest in the interest of warmth.  It was beautiful on the lake but a little on the chilly side.

The boat had many drivers.

One more shot of the beautiful colors.  We had a fun visit to Pinetop.  We just wished we could stay longer.  Maybe next time...

Oh it looks so pretty and cold too! You sure had a fun and busy fall break! Good for you guys!

When on earth did Bryce grow up so much? That is the funniest thing~I saw this with Blake and now I'm seeing it with Bryce. Just one day all of the sudden their face changes from little boy to young man and they grow up so much and they become handsome young men instead of cute boys. Adam is growing up so fast too! Where does the time all go?
