It has been tricky to find time to get to Pinetop this summer, but we squeezed in a few days in June. Above you see our resident electronics expert hooking up our roku box so we could have some TV at the cabin. We are excited because it has BYUtv and that will give us general conference.
We had one of the trees growing out of the deck removed. We had been carefully watching it because it appeared to be leaning closer and closer to the cabin. A tree expert came to evaluate the situation and advised us to take it out. So now we have a big hole in the deck which will be repaired soon. In the meantime we found a great table set from Sam's Club that has swivel rocking chairs for 6 (there are often squabbles over who gets the second one at home since Dan always gets one and they are not Michelle's favorite). It even has a lazy susan in the middle. This was our inaugural dinner on it since it had been assembled.
Dan grilled some steaks and we even opened a bottle of Martinelli's for the occasion. Now we just have to wait for the second tree in the deck to stop weeping from the limbs that were trimmed away. Once the deck is repaired we can put our new table in the center of the deck and enjoy those beautiful summer evenings (but that may be next summer).
Bryce and Adam invested in a new racing game for the xbox and had fun exploring the new tracks.
Dan experimented with the settings on his camera and made the lamp look quite bent out of shape.
He even tried several settings with Luna as the subject.
What a big nose you have, Luna.
We had a complicated schedule with some of us coming and going during the short time we were there. As a result the Mini ended up at the cabin, so Bryce finally got to drive the Mini through Salt River Canyon on the way home. He has wanted to do that since before he had his license. He had a big smile when we got home.
With Dan and Bryce in the Mini, they took a detour through Globe and found this fun festival and this cute car on display.
It's always a great break to go to Pinetop, no matter how many days we get to stay.

It looks like a delightful trip! I think getting away to Pinetop sounds pretty nice about right now.
Boy Bryce is such a handsome young man. And Luna is really a cute dog!
