Lake Powell

In July, Dan and the boys met Charlie and his kids (Clara & David) at Lake Powell for four days of fun in the sun (and on the water). Opting for a motel stay instead of camping, the six parked the boat in a slip and had a hot shower and meal each night (and a comfortable bed).

On Tuesday, they hit the lake for a full day of water sports. Bryce can pop out of the water on a wakeboard now. He mastered going out of the wake to the left, and will soon be able to cross the wake on the right. He's determined to get his water sports merit badge!

They also had some thrilling tube time, and since mom wasn't along to veto the idea - they went cliff jumping! Look closely for Adam jumping parachute style off the cliff.

On Wednesday they motored to Rainbow Bridge. There they also saw some dinosaur footprints in the rock.

Here is a peek into Charlie's snack bag. It was the subject of every phone call when the boys called Michelle at home. They were impressed.

On Wednesday afternoon, Lindsay and Boyd joined the crew. They were nearing the end of their journey from Boston to Tucson as they move for Lindsay to start medical school. The timing worked out for a quick stop over in Page and some time on the water.

On Thursday after a quick trip on the lake turned into late afternoon, Charlie and kids headed home to Utah, while Dan and the boys headed south to Gilbert. It was a great trip!
