In Loving Memory

Richard Johnson Dahl
March 1, 1912 - May 16, 2010

Dan's dad passed away in May at the age of 98. While it is sad to see the end of an era, we know he is having a happy reunion with all his family and friends on the other side of the veil. Dan had the honor of giving his dad's life story at the funeral. It was a challenging task to squeeze 98 years into 30 minutes, but Dan captured all the high points and recorded the details of many of the stories that had been told through the ages.

Here is Dick (Grandpa Dahl) with the little Austen he drove for A.L. Moore & Sons. He courted Katherine in this car. It was so compact he drove on the sidewalk right up to the front door to take Katherine home.

Here is Dick in front of the Dick Dahl Garage in his work clothes with his friendly smile.

This is merely a taste of the size of the Dahl family. This photo was taken in 2002 at the birthday celebration for Dick's 90th birthday. The family has continued to grow in the last eight years and is even bigger now. What a great legacy Dick and Katherine leave behind!

I was so sad to hear of Dan's father's passing. However, I know that he lived a good life and has lots of posterity to carry on his good name!
