We spent part of spring break in Pinetop. The snow has disappeared, but the air was cool. This was the first time since last summer that we have been able to stay more than two nights. We got many projects done, and we had lots of fun too. Here are a few pictures - we seem to be taking fewer shots - we must have been too busy playing!
First shot was Bryce trying out the wedge ax. It was still cool enough to have a fire, and Bryce along with Adam worked on the wood pile.
Michelle has been working on a large puzzle of Lake Powell over the past several visits. Dan brought up a small puzzle of Ironwood Hospital that was given out around the time the hospital opened. We had it assembled in record time. The Lake Powell puzzle (in the background) is still under construction.
Finished puzzle.
Michelle bought a cookie jar for the cabin. This bear seemed appropriate for us. Here he has his first batch of cookies.
Does he or doesn't he have cookies inside??
One project was to get bikes to leave at the cabin. We went into town and found a great bike shop in Showlow. They had a perfect bike for Adam and one for Dan. Bryce still wants to look around, and Michelle's trike will need to be special ordered. The bike shop owner talked us into a regular sized bike for Adam, and boy was he right - Adam loves it. Next on the list is a helmet for everyone.
Bryce tryied out Dan's bike. Great handling and good suspension. Bryce is considering adopting this bike as his own, but Dan has other ideas.
There they go for a bike ride. The weather was perfect to go for a cruise. Another fun time in the mountains.
Dan took this picture as a reference point. The deck has two trees growing through it, one is very close to the house and seems to be leaning. We are going to keep an eye on it, and probably have it removed in the future - hopefully before it decides to come down on its own. The question is - how do they take it out?
