Golf Tournament

Sonoma Ranch Elementary (Adam's school) held their annual golf tournament this weekend. Dan, Bryce and Adam entered as a team. Michelle has gone along in the past to serve as Adam's caddy (actually to drive the cart since they won't let Adam drive his own cart - can't imagine why??) but this year Dan had his eye on a better score than almost at the bottom (we were second to last in the 2008 tourney). So Dan invited John Poulsen to be the fourth on our team.

John told Dan he is available to play golf Monday through Saturday. (Does that tell you how much he likes golf?) Bryce has been honing his golf skills with the Greenfield Jr. High Golf Club every Monday. With Dan and Adam in one cart, and Bryce and John in the other, they hit the greens. It was a great opportunity for Bryce to get to know John since he is now Bryce's new Young Men's President.

Despite the wind coming up, they played a great round of golf and were able to par the course! Bryce had some good drives, and Adam even sank a 5-foot putt! Their score brought them in at a respectable 16 out of 28 teams. Our family also sponsored a hole. The first picture shows our team with "our" hole and the school mascot - the Sonoma Ranch Stallion.

Everyone was a winner - including the school which cleared almost $5000!
