On March 1, Dan's dad, Dick Dahl, turned 98 years old. He has insisted for a number of months that he would be 100 on this birthday, so we celebrated his 100-2 birthday this year. Dick's health has been going downhill in the past few months. He had stayed up the day before to greet everyone that was gathering for his birthday, so sadly he slept through most of the celebration the next day.

Greg and Laurelie Dahl were visiting from Canada. This picture was taken of Greg with the television in the background because the hockey teams of the US and Canada were playing for the gold medal in the Olympics that afternoon. At this point Canada had just won.

All of Dick's children were there for the occasion. From the left - Dick, Dan, Sue, Charlie, Linda and Bob. It has been a while since they were all in the same place at the same time.

Here are a few more that were there for a fun afternoon - good food and great people - that's always a good combination.
Happy Birthday, Grandpa!!
