Most dishwashers have a pots & pans cycle and a crystal cycle. Our dishwasher is special - it has a pre-wash cycle called the Luna cycle. Sorry if you are grossed out by this. You may never want to eat at our house again. But any time Luna hears us loading the dishwasher (she can tell the difference between the sounds of unloading and loading the dishwasher) she comes running. If she is outside, she jumps and jumps and jumps at the window. Once inside she pushes her way to the dishwasher and sticks her nose in to the bottom rack looking for tasty morsels. Sometimes we push her away, but mostly we just go with the flow. We tell ourselves we are building up our immune system?!? I promise - she never licks the clean plates!

That is so cute! Don't worry I'm not grossed out at all, after all aren't our dogs apart of our families:)
Besides Richard, (my father in law) lets their dog Lizzy, (who all of us kids swear that my Mom and Richard love Lizzy more than they do their own children) have bites of his dessert off of his fork or spoon and then he takes another bite off of it right after the dog. Now that is a little much for me but whatever, I mean they do love her more than their own children.
