Tower of Flour

Adam always wants to play card games when all the family is in town. On Saturday night after General Priesthood meeting and pazookies, he talked us into playing SPOONS. That's when Jamie added a twist to the game - "Have you ever played tower of flour?" Jamie packed flour into a cup, inverted it on a platter and stood a penny on its end on the top. The rule - at the end of each hand whoever does not grab a spoon must cut a slab of flour from the tower (top to bottom - no little nicks off the top). When the penny falls, the person cutting the tower has to fish the penny out with their mouth.

Here was the first cut.

Adam taking a turn cutting.

Morgan, Jamie and Bryce returning to the table to play another hand.

Still the penny is standing.

Dan shaving off some flour. Will it stand??? The answer is - YES! The truth of the matter is we kept playing and playing and the penny would not fall. Finally we called it a night and went to bed. When we got up the next morning it was still standing, but sometime during breakfast and conference the penny slipped from its perch atop the flour tower.

So Bryce volunteered to retrieve the penny. Thanks Bryce!!

That sounds like a fun game. The Ellsworth's are big game players too. We will have to play this sometime!

Bryce is such a cute boy! Conner will sure be glad when track is over. He has playing with Bryce!
