Gilbert High Marching Band

The Gilbert High Tigers Marching Band took the field for the first time this season at Phoenix College as Gilbert was pitted against Brophy on the football field.  But the highlight for us was the band performance!

We were taking pictures from across the field in the stands.  Since the band was marching around as they played, it was a challenge to get a shot of Bryce - but here he is in the center of the picture playing his trombone.  The band didn't wear their jackets or hats since it was 108 degrees.  Thank goodness the band leadership recognizes it is hot in Arizona.  As the season progresses we will include a picture of Bryce in his full uniform.

There is Bryce in the center again.  This is how he holds his trombone when he is not playing.  He said his arms are building muscles!  Good thing he is lifting weights in PE.

Bryce said his favorite part was the time they spent in the stands.  It was like a big party.  They play fun music, try to get "the wave" going, dance to the drum line beat, and had a great time.  Their next game is at home - that should be even better.

Sadly the football team didn't do so well, but there is always next week!
