It's a Dog's Life

As the weather gets cold, Luna doesn't like to stay in the backyard in the morning.  It's too chilly for her.  After Luna goes out for her morning bark at the world, she scratches and scratches at the back door until we take pity on her and let her in.

But once the sun is fully up, and she senses in her dog brain that the sun has hit the back patio, and she is scratching at the back door to go out.  Then she either pulls her pillow to a nice sunny spot, or she commandeers one of the patio chairs, faces the sun, closes her eyes and is content with being a dog.  When we look out the kitchen window, this is what we see.

If life were only that simple.
