We all took part in the Sonoma Ranch Elementary Golf Tournament on Saturday. With a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start, we played best ball style golf. Bryce, Adam and Dan played golf and Michelle was Adam's caddy and driver.
The weather was overcast which provided a great day to be on the course. Every hole had some prize that could be won for a hole-in-one. Not too surprisingly, we did not make a hole-in-one, but for a while Bryce held on to the "Longest Drive for a Kid". Then a seasoned 2nd grader came along and beat his drive. Our team score was 77 - not the lowest, but thankfully not the highest either. It was great fun and lots of money was collected for the school. Sign us up for next year!
Bryce enjoyed it so much, he is ready to join the Jr. High Golf Club when he hits Jr. High next year! It was a great tournament, with several other kids playing. Lunch and a raffle was held after the 18 holes of golf, and we came away the proud winners of a Peter Piper Pizza party deal (which will come in handy when cousins are visiting this summer!).
Once again, we left the camera at home. They took lots of pictures at the tournament. When they get posted on the website, we'll substitute one in here.
