Can it already be July and we are just finally getting to the lake? Since the lakes get pretty busy on Saturdays, we decided to go to Roosevelt - it never seems crowded. We only got as far as Signal Butte Road on the 60 when we had a blow out on the boat trailer. We pulled off, Dan & Bryce changed the tire and we found a Discount Tire to get a replacement. The helpful serviceman pointed out our hitch was too low and it was putting pressure on the front trailer tires. Sure enough, on the return trip we had the other front tire fail. But despite all the tire woes, we had a great time on the lake.

Bryce showing off for the camera before some tubing. It has been two years since we've been able to get Adam out on the tubes. A little submarine incident (where the tube goes under the water) gave him a scare and we haven't been able to coerce him into trying it again - until now.
Adam was anxious to get out on the tubes, and he didn't want to stop. Even after a few spectacular crashes and some wild and crazy rides. He's back in the saddle!!
Bryce & Adam had a few tube wars and even switched tubes while we were moving along at a pretty good speed. If you look in the background you can see the bridge at Roosevelt Dam. You can also see a good storm moving in. We stayed down at the other end to play where the water was smooth, but since we had launched at Windy Point, we had to brave the white caps and wind to get off the lake.

Dan got a chance for some skiing before we decided the storm was moving in and it was time to leave.
After we got off the lake, the ramp was crowded with people with the same idea. If you look closely at the lake, you will see white caps from the wind. It was pretty tricky getting off the lake. Even though we had some mechanical difficulties coming and going, it was a great day on the lake. Just in case you wondered - Michelle was there too. She just carefully avoided the camera.
