President's Day Fun

(This post is late, but we wanted to remember this day, so we are including it even though it is out of order.)
On President's Day we did a little exploring close by. We started with a quick hike to Hole in the Rock in Papago Park. It was so quick, Dan, Bryce and Adam did it twice.

Here they are in the "Hole".

Michelle stayed with the car and relaxed with a good book (and took pictures from down below).

Then we headed to Mesa and caught the Light Rail for a joy ride into Phoenix. The cars were clean and new, and the ride was smooth.

We took the Metro all the way into downtown to Central and Van Buren. Then we turned around and headed back to the "end of the line" where we started. The Metro was easy to use, and reminded us of all the mass transit we have used in other cities. Next time we go to a D-backs game, we will give the Metro a try.

What a fun day! I'm glad that you guys enjoyed yourselves. We've been wanting to try the Metro out also and we've just never got around to it yet. Maybe during spring break.

In that first picture of Dan and the boys. I didn't recognize Dan. I thought it was one of your son in laws at first. He looks so young!
