Barking up the Right Tree

One evening in June, we were out in the pool enjoying the unusually nice weather we have had this spring, when Luna went into a barking frenzy. We thought she had found a cat in the yard, but soon noticed that she was focused on something in the tree.

Luna would not take her eyes off the intruder in the tree. So Dan went to investigate. To our surprise there was a parrot camoflauged in the tree.

It stayed in the tree a while and then flew over to the pool fence where Luna got a close up view. After several minutes of howling and barking, the parrot had had enough and flew off to a quieter yard in the neighborhood.

Good job, Luna! You are such a good watchdog!

That is hilarious, nice action photos of Luna too - did you take those with your black camera? So have you seen any missing parrot signs in the area?
