Father's Day

Almost a month has passed, but we can't skip writing about Father's Day because we have such great men in our lives.

On Saturday before Father's Day we took a trip over to Phoenix to take dinner and celebrate with Dan's dad. Dan just bought a new truck, so he brought it along to show his dad all the bells and whistles. Dick is 97 years old, and has been a great dad for many many years. Adam and Bryce are proud to call him grandpa.

On Sunday we had a special breakfast for Dan - the great dad in our house. Dan is a great example for Bryce and Adam to follow. He is patient and always full of fun ideas to do. Lindsay brought Dan a fun present for Father's Day - homemade ice cream and three homemade toppings - chocolate, caramel and raspberry. YUM!!

Morgan sent Dan a box of See's "Nuts and Chews" with a card inside saying "This may be nuts but chew on this, Grandpa. Shhh! I'm only 9 weeks old!" At first Dan thought the shipping company had made a mistake and the chocolates were supposed to go to Grandpa Dahl, but then he realized it was an announcement, and he is going to be the next Grandpa Dahl! What a memorable Father's Day gift. We are so excited!!

We also spent time with Michelle's dad. He is in a hospice care home not far from our house. He has good days and bad days, and we cherish the good days when there is a sparkle in his eye.

We love all our dads. They are great men and are a blessing to us.

Oh wow! What an exciting Father's Day!!! That is so exciting about that special news! Even though I don't know Morgan and Lindsay to well I feel like I really know them from reading your blog and on occasion reading theirs. I'm so excited for her and for all of you!
