Around 2nd or 3rd Grade Lindsay learned about palindromes in school. A palindrome is a word, verse, sentence or number that reads the same backward or forward. From then on we would hear a sudden and excited "Look! It's a palindrome!" as she spotted one. We might be driving down the road (luckily no car accidents ever occurred although the loud "LOOK" often made the driver swerve in their lane) or at home, wherever we were Lindsay was on the lookout for palindromes.
Today is a palindrome! 01/11/10. So in honor of Lindsay - Happy Palindrome Day!
We talked to Lindsay last night (we had mistakenly thought yesterday was the 11th - oops) and she said she and Boyd were planning on having sandwiches for dinner in honor of palindrome day (bread top and bottom, then lettuce and tomatoes doubled top and bottom with meat in the middle - a palindrome meal!)
Adam and Bryce also enjoy palindromes. Their favorite is "racecar". They had fun figuring out all the other fun dates that will happen this year - like 08/09/10 and 10/10/10 and 12/11/10. You get the idea.
Lindsay also pointed out that Morgan's baby is due on the next palindrome 01/22/10. Will it happen?? Wait and see....

So cool! I didn't even realize Junior was due on the only other palindrome day of the year, he has to be born on that day now!
Happy Palindrome Day! We will celebrate by having lots of funuf today instead of the regular fun we could be having. We are going to try boogie boarding. We'll see how it goes. Loved the Sunday Six! Becky
Happy Palindrome Day! I love these days! Brilynn was born on 9/8/98. I'm not sure if that is considered a palindrome or not but I think it is. Anyway, she loves her birthday because of being able to say the fun date. I hope today is a fun filled day!
We did celebrate and it was a big success. We'll post some pictures soon (we had oreos for dessert).
