Happy Halloween

This is what greeted you at the Dahl House this year when you rang the doorbell for Trick or Treat. You got a little "trick" with the "treat". Dan arrived home from work just in time to man the door for those brave enough to ask for candy. Topped off with his new green derby, he joined Count Valdimir, our Vampire, to welcome everyone with a scary "Good Evening". Add some mysterious sounds in the background and low lighting, and Dan made a few of the younger trick or treaters not so sure they should have rung the doorbell at this house.

This was probably Bryce's last year for trick or treating. He is ready to join forces with Dan for next year and make knocking on our door a memorable Halloween experience. But for this year Bryce dressed up as a garden gnome and Adam was a golf green. Yes, he looks like a golfer, but he specifically described himself as a golf green (check out the artificial turf on his hat, along with the golf flag pole and golf ball).

Even Luna joined the fun (reluctantly) and was a hotdog. During the summer months she is a hot dog, but for Halloween she was a hotdog. Ha Ha Ha!

The day was packed with a costume parade for Adam at school, along with a Halloween party in the afternoon. When the boys got home from school, they (with help from Mom) carved our jack-o-lantern (which we did not photograph - you will have to imagine a great face on our pumpkin).

After a quick bite of dinner, Michelle and Adam headed out with Bryce and his friends - Ryan, Taylor and Conner to ring doorbells. There was lots of candy, a haunted house, and plenty of good Halloween fun going on in our neighborhood. It was one of our best Halloweens yet!

Now, where is all that candy....
