After worrying about the weather, Thanksgiving Day turned out to be a lovely day. The air was crisp after a morning rain cleared off, so we set up the tables on the patio, and enjoyed the day.

Since Morgan and Jamie were flying in that day, we set dinner for 3 pm. With our turkeys cooked in the pit (see entry below), we started putting food out for the serving buffet and it nearly filled the counter - turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberry relish, sweet potatoes, rolls, and several kinds of salad. It was quite a spread, and everyone contributed to the yummy meal.
We gathered people from every branch of the family, with even a neighbor family (the Smithsons and Waldies) joining us for the feast.
Dan's dad, Dick Dahl, was the oldest guest at dinner at the age of 96.
After dinner comes DESSERT! And boy was there dessert - pies lovingly made by Sue and Brittany (yummy lemon tarts), sweet potato cheesecake by Lindsay, cookies galore by Allison, chocolate crunch by Gretchen (sorry Gretchen, I don't know its real name), and pumpkin bars. MMMM dessert!
Here is Lindsay, Michelle and Morgan enjoying some samples from the desserts.

It was a great Thanksgiving!
